juvanoun, pl. juve
Split dialect for soup. Warm, thick, and different every day.
“What’s the juva today?”
Juve i kruvovi (“soups and breads” in Split dialect) is a small kitchen in Split. Every weekday there’s a new soup, alongside a stew and a pasta; we bake spelt sourdough bread, and finish with sweets made with agave syrup. Drop by for yours, or order through Wolt.
In Split dialect
The name is pure Split dialect: juve are soups and kruvovi are breads. That is exactly what we make: a pot of soup and an oven of bread, every weekday, with a little salt and a lot of soul.
Our storyjuvanoun, pl. juve
Split dialect for soup. Warm, thick, and different every day.
“What’s the juva today?”
kruvnoun, pl. kruvovi
Split dialect for bread. Ours is spelt, on natural leaven.
“Take a loaf home, too.”
What we make
The daily soup changes every day, alongside a vegetable stew and a pasta. A warm meal in the middle of the working day, to take away or delivered.
See the menuA loaf of about 630 g: spelt flour, natural leaven, salt and water. The focaccia, pizzette and sandwiches use spelt dough too.
All about the breadApple or plum strudel and a chocolate-hazelnut babka. Made with spelt flour and sweetened with agave syrup.
The sweet part of the menuWhat’s in the pot
The soup of the day changes daily, following what is in season. On our menu it carries three labels: vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free.
Biži is Split dialect for peas. That is one example from our menu; to find out today’s soup, give us a call or check Wolt.
What goes in
Whatever goes into the pot or the oven is written on the menu, ingredient by ingredient.
We cook exclusively with domestic, Croatian olive oil.
Ingredients come from organic, ecological or trusted local producers.
Bread, focaccia, pizzette and pastries are made with spelt; the bread rises on natural leaven.
The daily soup and the stew are vegan. Where there is cheese or ham, the menu says so.
Menu
A different one every day. An example from our menu: cream of pea and courgette (biži i tikvice).
Beans (fažol), chickpeas and squash, served with a slice of spelt bread.
Gluten-free brown-rice spirelli with homemade pesto genovese and feta.
Spelt focaccia with smoked turkey ham, feta, ricotta, homemade pesto genovese and rocket.
Spelt flour, natural leaven, salt and water. That's all.
Spelt flour, premium Belgian chocolate, hazelnuts, agave syrup, coconut sugar, coconut oil and oat milk.
Prices as listed on our Wolt menu (October 2026); prices in the shop may differ, and dishes change.
