Juve i kruvovisoups · bread · Split

Our story

A kitchen for every working day

Juve i kruvovi is a small kitchen in Split for a warm meal in the middle of the working day: soup, stew, spelt bread and something sweet. Nothing complicated – just good ingredients and a lot of soul.

Two bowls of squash cream soup, slices of wholegrain bread and half a butternut squash on a white table

The name

A name you hear around Split

“Juve i kruvovi” means soups and breads – said the way people say it in Split. You will hear the same dialect on our menu: peas (biži) in the soup, beans (fažol) in the stew and cherry tomatoes (pome) on the pizzetta.

A little dictionary from our menu, for those who aren’t from here – and for those who are but have forgotten.

our motto

What matters to us

Six things that don’t change

Only Croatian olive oil

We cook exclusively with domestic, Croatian olive oil.

Trusted producers

Our ingredients come from organic, ecological or trusted local producers.

What’s in season

We cook with seasonal produce, and the soup of the day is different every day.

Spelt and natural leaven

Bread, focaccia, pizzette and pastries are made with spelt flour; the bread rises on natural leaven.

Plant-forward, honestly

Many dishes are vegan or vegetarian. Where there is cheese or turkey ham, the menu says so.

Sweetened with agave

The strudels and babka are sweetened with agave syrup and made with oat milk and coconut oil.

The red rooftops of Split and a bell tower, with mountains behind

A Split kitchen, in Split dialect – for the Split working day.

Come hungry, leave happy.

We cook Monday to Friday at Ruđera Boškovića 16A. Drop by for yours, or order through Wolt.
